Recently, I was referred by a friend to design posters and flyers for a senior music recital.

Chris Olds told me he wanted something classy and elegant, but with a bit of fun. These themes would represent his numbers: Scaramouche, Songe de Coppelius, & Six Studies in English on the saxophone.

Process:
We had a photoshoot and picked the top 5 photos we liked best to be used on postcard flyers. We then used a full body picture of him in the music room to be his poster image. The cropped photos of just his hands, body, and the saxophone were used as smaller, more specialized invitations to allude to the main poster with his face. 

It was great working with Chris and getting to know him and his love for music. He told me, when he plays he envisions a story through his music. With this vision, he invites his audience to enter the world he has created.
